New York Knicks Receive: G/F Josh Green, G/F Frank Ntilkina
Dallas Mavericks Receive: G/F Cam Reddish
In all honesty, it isn’t fair of us to question Reddish’s work ethic. After all, he’s far from the first player to fall short of draft expectations.
In fact, it happens all the time. We can’t blame it on the kids – the vast majority of them are trying to be the best NBA players they can be. Realistically, it’s our fault for overestimating them in the first place.
It’s such a regular occurrence that Reddish isn’t even the only victim of misplaced expectations in this trade proposal.
Frank Ntilkina was the 8th overall pick in the 2017 NBA draft, selected by none other than the New York Knicks.

He hasn’t lived up to that position. If he had, he’d still be on the Knicks on a max contract extension. On the other hand, anyone who’s seen Ntilkina play could never question his work ethic.
Is it worth the Knicks’ time to bring him back?
