No matter what your field is, being available to do your job is just as important as being able to do it well. Availability is a skill like no other. The NBA is no different.

Nobody cares what you can do on a basketball court if you’re not free to do it. Unfortunately, players don’t have total control over their own availability. 

Sometimes, their bodies just fail them. No player wants to be prone to injury – in all likelihood, that’s a longstanding fear for any professional athlete. At the same time, some guys just can’t stay on the court. 

Unfortunately, Lonzo Ball appears to be one of those players. He’s a highly impactful player when healthy, but those moments are few and far between.
