Why The Utah Jazz Do The Deal
There’s no complicated logic at play here. The Jazz, realistically, do get enough for Bojan Bogdanovic.
Granted, the Croatian wing will surely be coveted if he is on the market. Bogdanovic is the type of player who’ll fit in any system. With that said, he’s not exactly a superstar either. The Jazz won’t net more than one first-round pick for him.
Meanwhile, they get an additional asset in Josh Green. He’ll probably never be a superstar either, but he is a hyper-athletic young wing with a higher motor on the defensive end. If his three-pointer ever starts to drop consistently, he could be a valuable member of this core.
Still, it’s all about the draft pick for Utah. In fact, every move they’ve made this offseason has been. If they’re trading Bogdanovic, there’s no reason for them to pivot away from their modus operandi.
