Chicago Bulls Receive: G/F Danny Green, G/F Dillon Brooks, F/C Brandon Clarke, 2023 First-Round Pick (MEM), 2025 First-Round Pick (Swap – MEM)
Memphis Grizzlies Receive: G/F DeMar DeRozan
In the NBA, trade value is a fickle mistress. Just when you think you’ve got a handle on her, she’s somewhere else altogether.
Realistically, there are a lot of variables that account for a player’s value. Talent is merely one of them. Often enough, a player’s value will not reflect on his talent level due to those other variables.
With that in mind, some will protest this package from the Bulls’ point of view. Unfortunately, we don’t think they’d do much better for DeRozan. He’s 33 and likely due for regression.
Moreover, as a poor floor spacer, it’s hard to envision him transitioning into a lower usage role. When DeRozan’s drop-off comes, it’s likely to be severe.

Should it be enough for the Bulls to part with their star wing?
