Why The Cleveland Cavaliers Do The Deal
Frankly, Reddish might not be the answer for this team. Here, the Cavaliers are capitalizing on a buy-low opportunity.
That’s convenient. Upon completion of the Mitchell deal, the Cavaliers don’t have much buying power. The bulk of their future draft capital is now controlled by the Utah Jazz.
Without many more avenues to significant improvement, the Cavaliers may have to take risks in any attempt to improve their wing rotation. Reddish is a risk, but given the cost, he’s a minimal one.
Realistically, he’ll be competing for the starting spot in Cleveland. If Isaac Okoro develops a reliable three-pointer, it might be his. Conversely, Cedi Osman has a lower ceiling than either, but he might be the safest bet. Still, if Reddish were to have a breakout in Cleveland, who knows?
