Why The Orlando Magic Do The Deal

In the case of Fultz, the Magic already have a surplus of young, playmaking guards in his mold. It’s too early to give up on Jalen Suggs – he just completed his rookie year.

Meanwhile, Cole Anthony distinguished himself in his 2021-22 sophomore year. The Magic would likely prefer to keep him as well. By the process of elimination, Fultz is the odd man out.

Meanwhile, the same argument can be made for Isaac. In theory, he’s a 4 who ought to see some time at the 5 spot as well. Between Banchero, Wendell Carter Jr., Mo Bamba, and Franz Wagner, it’s hard to see the path to significant playing time for Isaac.
