Dallas Mavericks Receive: C Myles Turner, G T.J. McConnell
Indiana Pacers Receive: G Josh Green, F Davis Bertans, 2025 First-Round Pick (Top-5 Protected)
Dallas regressed this offseason when they lost Jalen Brunson in free agency despite addressing their needs in the frontcourt. They address both of those things in this deal with the Pacers, acquiring Myles Turner and T.J. McConnell.
Turner provides more insurance in the middle as an elite rim protector. He is a perfect complement on offense as well as the Mavericks deploy four-out lineup combinations around Luka Doncic.
McConnell addresses their need for another ball handler in the rotation to help offset the loss of Brunson. A pesky defender and well above-average playmaker, McConnell is a nice addition to the backcourt rotation.
Heading to Indiana is Josh Green, a first-round pick in the 2020 NBA Draft that has yet to really get a chance in Dallas. To match salary, Davis Bertans is on his way to the Pacers as well along with some draft compensation.
