This trade between the Utah Jazz and LA Clippers would further the rebuilding efforts in Salt Lake City after the Donovan Mitchell trade. A piece was put together making some bold trades involving contenders around the league, which the Clippers would qualify as.
Los Angeles is looking to rise the ranks again this upcoming season after battling through the 2021-22 campaign without their best players. Acquiring Mike Conley Jr. would certainly help them in that quest.
Despite being 34, Conley still provides steady production on both ends of the court. The rebuilding Jazz don’t have much use for that, so they do him a solid and send him to a team that he can contend for a title on.
Returning to Salt Lake City are Reggie Jackson and Luke Kennard. Jackson falls into a similar category as Conley at 32 but presents some options for Utah as an expiring contract.
