Brooklyn Nets
Whether or not the Brooklyn Nets decided to trade Kevin Durant, they have continued to need to improve the roster.
Durant seems to be on board now. Ben Simmons and Kyrie Irving need a pick-and-roll partner, and unless they’re bringing one back in a Durant trade, Montrezl Harrell is the best option still available.
As the Houston Rockets hold the rights to most of their future picks — as a result of their James Harden deal — the Brooklyn Nets have all of the motivation in the world to compete next season rather than to commit to a tank. With that in mind, Brooklyn should continue to add as much ready-made talent possible in the KD trade, other deals, and free agency.
Harrell would make a fantastic addition to the Nets’ roster and would give Brooklyn their utmost interior threat, something they were sorely lacking in their first-round sweep at the hands of the Boston Celtics last playoffs.

With Durant staying, at least for now, the Nets will need to upgrade their frontcourt. Adding Harrell will go a long way towards accomplishing those goals and provide a different look in addition to Nicolas Claxton for lineup combinations.
