The Miami Heat here take a flier on Julius Randle who experienced a ridiculous high with an All-NBA Second-Team nod followed by an equally unfathomable low in the past two seasons.
At his peak, as a floor-spacing, playmaking, low-block monster, he’d be an excellent piece between Jimmy Butler and Bam Adebayo in the frontcourt. Even if he doesn’t become an impactful defender again, the Heat have the personnel to cover his defensive deficiencies.
As insurance, they also add an experienced floor general in Derrick Rose who joins Jimmy Butler in a Miami Heat and Minnesota Timberwolves reunion.
