While there are still some moves that could occur in the NBA between now and training camp, the offseason is winding down. There is always a lull following Las Vegas Summer League for a few weeks before things begin to pick up again.
With only about a month until training camp starts, teams are beginning to finalize their rosters for that. Extra players can be brought into camp, which teams are going to take full advantage of. With G League usage becoming more prevalent, there are more opportunities for players to earn chances to play in the NBA.
As things currently stand, we can get an idea of who will be trying to compete for a championship this season and which teams are looking to rebuild. A few teams, such as the Atlanta Hawks and Minnesota Timberwolves, made big trades in hopes of becoming contending teams.
But, for every team that attempts to ascend the standings, some teams are looking to sink as far as possible. Tanking has become prevalent at times in the NBA and this season will be no different. However, it is hard to blame teams for wanting to do that during the upcoming 2022-23 season.
