After weeks of speculation, the Brooklyn Nets have finally found a resolution to the Kevin Durant trade request. Despite numerous NBA teams contacting them about being interested in trading for Durant, the two sides were able to put aside their differences and will be continuing their partnership.
Durant will not be going anywhere, at least for now, as it was announced that he will be remaining with the Nets. The focus for him and the team will be on basketball and bringing a championship to the franchise.
With Durant now committed, the front office can focus on the rest of the roster. They have done a solid job of upgrading, signing T.J. Warren in free agency and acquiring Royce O’Neale from the Utah Jazz. Patty Mills and Nicolas Claxton were also re-signed.
The Nets have a deeper, more talented team as the pieces are in place to contend for a championship. However, after falling short of expectations last season, Sean Marks should continue seeking out upgrades for the roster. One position that may be in need of some help is the enter spot.
