1 Perfect Trade To Send Kyrie Irving To Lakers

Kyrie Irving, Los Angeles Lakers, Brooklyn Nets, NBA Trade Rumors
NBA Analysis Network

The Los Angeles Lakers had a disastrous 2021-22 NBA season. If they want any chance of turning things around this season, there is still plenty of work to do.

Capped out, they were limited in what they could do in free agency. Only having the mid-level exception and veteran minimum deals, the Lakers did as well as you could expect them to. Lonnie Walker IV was signed using the mid-level along with Juan Toscano-Anderson, Damian Jones, Troy Brown Jr. and Thomas Bryant.

The front office did a 180-degree turn when it comes to plans in free agency as last year they signed older veterans to fill out the roster. This time, they signed younger players that are capable two-way performers and fit better alongside their Big 3 of LeBron James, Anthony Davis and Russell Westbrook.

If Los Angeles wants to have a real shot at turning things around in the first season under Darvin Ham, they are going to have to pull off a trade. That is easier said than done, as Los Angeles is lacking tradable assets.

How could the Lakers acquire him? Let’s take a look at this hypothetical deal that sends Irving out west and reunites him with James.
