New York Knicks
The New York Knicks accomplished their No. 1 task this offseason in finding an answer at the point guard position. Jalen Brunson signed with them, leaving the Dallas Mavericks as a free agent.
In addition to that, the Knicks have also engaged the Utah Jazz at different points this offseason in trade talks centered around Donovan Mitchell.
Hungry to add a star, Mitchell would help elevate the franchise on the court and make them an attractive landing spot for free agents as well.
The New York Knicks would be hoping that RJ Barrett continues his ascension as well, which could give them two All-Stars to build around. 2024 is when the Knicks could be buyers again in free agency, especially if they can find a taker for Julius Randle.

Evan Fournier has a club option for the 2024-25 season, so the Knicks can decline that to open up more cap space as well should it be needed. Sliding Jaylen Brown into that spot, especially if Mitchell is acquired, could make the Knicks title contenders.
Sticking it to his old team, the Boston Celtics could also be a motivating factor here. If the Celtics are so eager to trade him away, Brown could stick it to them by signing with the rival New York Knicks and playing against them four times per season.
