Russell Westbrook may be a former MVP but by now, his trade value is decidedly sunk.
Everyone around the NBA knows it, too. By now, the Lakers won’t be able to move him unless they’re willing to attach draft capital in order to do so. If they are, they should have a range of options.
Some would have them send Westbrook and picks to the Charlotte Hornets, possibly for Gordon Hayward and Terry Rozier.
Others would have them ship him to the Utah Jazz for some combination of Mike Conley, Bojan Bogdanovic, and/or Patrick Beverley.

All of those packages hold some appeal. Still, this popular Pacers proposal may trump them all. Without question, it would make the Lakers more formidable in 2022-23 than they were last season.
