Denver Nuggets Receive: G Donovan Mitchell, G Patrick Beverley
Utah Jazz Receive: F Michael Porter Jr., G Bones Hyland, F Zeke Nnaji, F Christian Braun, F Peyton Watson, 2029 First-Round Pick, Pick Swaps
Building a trade package from the Denver Nuggets won’t be heavy on draft capital as they just don’t have much to offer. That could be a non-starter for a team such as the Utah Jazz, as they could be looking for a ton of picks in exchange for Donovan Mitchell.
As a result, a deal between the two sides is highly unlikely, but this is something along the lines of what Denver could offer. One of Jamal Murray and Michael Porter Jr. can be used as the centerpiece of a deal. In this scenario, it is Porter.
Explosive scoring guard Bones Hyland is part of the deal as well, as he played well as a rookie and could thrive with an even bigger role on a team focused on development more than wins and losses. The same goes for Zeke Nnaji, who has the tools to become an excellent stretch big-man but has been stuck at the bottom of the depth chart in Denver.
Lacking future draft picks, the Nuggets include both of their first-round selections from the 2022 NBA Draft in Christian Braun and Peyton Watson. 2029 is the next first-round pick that the Nuggets can legally trade, as they already sent out their selections in 2023, 2025, and 2027.

The Nuggets can offer pick swaps in those years, but that is the best they can do when it comes to draft capital because of the Stepien rule unless the Jazz wants second-round picks. In addition to Mitchell, the Jazz receives Patrick Beverley, who will be moved if Utah decides to go the rebuilding route.
How does this deal impact each team? Let’s take a look at it from each of their perspectives, starting with the Nuggets.
