The Brooklyn Nets would check many boxes with this Kevin Durant trade.
For starters, they would own the Phoenix Suns’ draft through 2029. That’s a pretty big deal considering they’d be trading away a soon-to-be 34-year-old.
They’d be landing some intriguing pieces to build around Ben Simmons, who should be a priority given he was acquired in exchange for James Harden. Now, it would be the Suns taking the major long-term gamble by leveraging their draft capital.
The defensive potential that would be afforded to the Nets by adding Mikal Bridges alongside Simmons and Porzingis would be all the more fascinating.
