The next few weeks are going to be filled with trade rumors as there are still some NBA All-Stars available on the trade block. One of those players is Kevin Durant, who may have torpedoed his own trade value with the ultimatum that he recently gave to the Brooklyn Nets.
Looking to speed up the process, as Durant requested a trade before the free agency moratorium, he told the organization it is either him or the duo of general manager Sean Marks and head coach Steve Nash. It would be shocking if ownership gave in and fired both men, so a trade involving Durant is the likelier outcome.
Alas, when that trade occurs, is anyone’s guess. The Nets lost a lot of leverage with that ultimatum as teams around the league aren’t going to increase their trade packages after that news. If anything, they are going to lessen them knowing that Brooklyn has to trade him.
The Boston Celtics, Miami Heat and Toronto Raptors are the three teams mentioned most prominently. The New Orleans Pelicans are another team to reportedly keep an eye on as they still have interest in acquiring him.

But, it was reported early on that more than half of the league reached out to the Nets. Could one of those teams be the Chicago Bulls? The Bulls got things back on track last season, earning the No. 6 seed in the Eastern Conference, but were bounced in the first round by the Milwaukee Bucks.
Durant is someone that could push them closer to the upper echelon of the conference. What would it take to land him? Let’s take a look at this hypothetical trade that would land Durant in The Windy City.
