Brooklyn Nets Receive: F Tobias Harris, G/F Matisse Thybulle, G Tyrese Maxey, 2028 First-Round Pick (Swap – PHI)
Philadelphia 76ers Receive: F Kevin Durant
Most modern NBA blockbuster deals are dictated by draft capital. Typically, a star gets exchanged for a boatload of it – even if the team dealing the star receives little else.
If Durant is going to land on the 76ers, that’s going to be a problem for both sides.
Ironically, this comes down to James Harden for both sides. The Nets traded either their first-round pick or a pick swap to the Houston Rockets to land him ahead of 2020-21.
We all know how that went – Harden quickly forced hs way out of town.
In fact, he ended up on the 76ers. They sent the Nets Ben Simmons in addition to a (wait for it) a couple of first-round picks.
