Washington Wizards
Toronto Raptors Receive: F/C Kristaps Porzingis, F Deni Avdija, G Johnny Davis, 2025 First-Round Pick (WAS)
Washington Wizards Receive: F/C Pascal Siakam
For this Washington Wizards deal, we went in a slightly different direction.
It finds the Raptors receiving significantly fewer future-focused assets than the other two trades. On the other hand, it actually has the potential to improve them in the present.
Porzingis is not as impacful a player as Siakam. If he was, the Raptors wouldn’t be getting two intriguing young players and a first-round pick here. With that said, for a Raptors team that was sorely lacking in rim protection next year, he might be a better fit.
Meanwhile, Avdija has established himself as one of the better young defensive wings in the league over the past couple of seasons. Davis, of course, is a rookie, but he’s a recent lottery pick – he has undeniable potential.

The Raptors are gambling on a sophomore leap from Barnes with this trade. If he makes it, it could improve them in 2022-23 while bolstering their future outlook in the process.
