Just ask the Brooklyn Nets. Many observers expected to see them in the NBA Finals from the moment they partnered Kevin Durant with Kyrie Irving. When they reunited Durant with old Thunder running mate James Harden, they were prohibitive favorites.
Sometimes, projections can be off – way off, even. Harden is already a Philadelphia 76er. Meanwhile, the Nets appear to be falling apart at the seams.
Durant has requested a trade. Seemingly, his discontent is partly due to the organization’s reported desire to move on from Irving.
