Utah Jazz Receive: F Tobias Harris, G Tyrese Maxey, 2029 First-Round Pick (PHI)
Philadelphia 76ers Receive: G Donovan Mitchell
Of course, the Utah Jazz don’t profile as a team that’s likely to resist the first-round pick trend. In fact, they’re already following it.
After all, the Jazz just traded Rudy Gobert for a package that was highlighted by four first-round picks. Furthermore, anyone with a working knowledge of Danny Ainge’s history knows that’s not the first draft-heavy package he’s received.
Ainge was the architect of the infamous 2013 trade that sent Kevin Garnett and Paul Pierce to the Brooklyn Nets in exchange for (you guessed it) first-round picks.
Some would argue that it was the trade that changed our collective mindset about first-round picks.

In all likelihood, Ainge will seek a similar package for Mitchell. With that said, he doesn’t have to. The opportunity to land Tyrese Maxey could be too tempting for Ainge to pass on.
Should the Sixers really part with him to add Mitchell?
