Sometimes, the NBA offseason is a flurry of non-stop activity. At times, it can be hard to keep up with the movement that occurs in a given summer.

This year’s offseason was shaping up to be one of those summers. There was certainly a lot happening in the beginning. Dejounte Murray landed on the Atlanta Hawks. Malcolm Brogdon was acquired by the Boston Celtics. Rudy Gobert is a Minnesota Timberwolf.

Recently, all activity has ground to a halt. There are several explanations. Some will point to that same Gobert trade as having broken the market – the Timberwolves paid so much for Gobert that accepting less for a player like, say, Kevin Durant would be untenable.

Of course, Durant’s price was always likely to be high enough to stall the market. In any event, we’ve seen very little movement since his trade request.
