Toronto Raptors
The Toronto Raptors proved both sides of an argument last season. On the one hand, they showed that a team can be highly successful playing small-ball lineups full-time and without employing a true center.
In the playoffs, though, their lack of size was severely exposed by Joel Embiid and the Philadelphia 76ers.
Now that the Toronto Raptors have proved that they’re closer to contention than initially expected, Team President Masai Ujiri may want to expedite the retooling process. After being linked to several available centers — such as Myles Turner and Ayton — Toronto has yet to make a meaningful big-man addition.
While they already have 17 rostered players, several of them have low amounts of guaranteed cash on their deals.
