3 Trade Packages For Atlanta Hawks To Fuel NBA Title Push

The Atlanta Hawks and Team President Travis Schlenk advertised that they’re ready to go all-in to build a true NBA title contender around Trae Young when they dealt away three first-round picks for two-way guard and one-time All-Star, Dejounte Murray.

Murray should be a perfect fit alongside Ice Trae in the backcourt, his length and defensive prowess making him the ideal candidate to cover for Young’s deficiencies on that end of the court, and his slashing and playmaking a perfect foil for his perimeter tendencies.

Even with Murray’s services in tow on both ends of the court, the Hawks seem at least a piece away from measuring up against the Milwaukee Bucks, Boston Celtics, and Miami Heat.

Atlanta may be hoping that Onyeka Okongwu, John Collins, or De’Andre Hunter could internally develop into the third All-Star that the Hawks need. While every champion does rely on at least some form of growth from their youth, it may be irresponsible for them not to have a backup plan.
