The Los Angeles Lakers have been engaged in numerous trade rumors this NBA offseason. They are searching high and low for ways to upgrade the roster after a very poor showing during the 2021-22 season.

The Lakers were easily the most disappointing team last season, as they entered with title aspirations. They didn’t even have a chance to compete for the championship, as they failed to even qualify for the NBA Play-In Tournament after going 33-49 on the season.

Many people have said they need to move on from Russell Westbrook if they want any chance of turning things around, but that is easier said than done. Westbrook doesn’t have a ton of value around the league with his $47 million contract for the season. The Brooklyn Nets in a deal for Kyrie Irving has been discussed, but there is no traction.

Could the Phoenix Suns help in that regard? They have a glut of wing players that the Lakers could have an interest in. Here is one hypothetical trade that Los Angeles could try and swing.
