Charlotte Hornets

This 2022 offseason has been a tough one for the Charlotte Hornets. Nothing has gone according to plan, as their No. 1 target for head coach, Kenny Atkinson, changed his mind about taking the job less than a week after originally accepting it. The roster could also be receiving a significant blow.

The future of Miles Bridges is uncertain after he was arrested and charged with felony domestic violence and child abuse. His NBA career could be over after having a breakout 2021-22 season and being in line for a max contract.

Replacing him will prove to be difficult, but if the Charlotte Hornets have some good injury luck, Gordon Hayward is a solid replacement for him in the lineup along with Kelly Oubre Jr. and P.J. Washington. Arguably the biggest hole on their roster is the backup point guard spot.

Right now, their depth chart has starting shooting guard Terry Rozier as the backup point guard. It is a huge need and the players they have been connected to have been Isaiah Thomas, who played well in the role last season, and former franchise icon Kemba Walker.
