Portland Trail Blazers
The Portland Trail Blazers have done a lot of work reshaping their roster this offseason. Before the draft, they acquired Jerami Grant from the Detroit Pistons, a player they had been connected to for months. With the seventh pick in the draft, they selected Shaedon Sharpe.
They were also active in free agency. Gary Payton II was their biggest acquisition, signing him away from the Golden State Warriors. Jusuf Nurkic and Anfernee Simons were re-signed, along with Drew Eubanks.
The Trail Blazers have a much more balanced, two-way roster now, but there are still some holes for Portland to fill, with the backup point guard spot being among them. They should not be done making moves and making a call to the New York Knicks about Derrick Rose would make a lot of sense.
Right now, the backup point guard in Portland is Brandon Williams or Sharpe. With Damian Lillard locked into a long-term contract, the front office needs more behind him if they want to challenge for a playoff spot.
