The Indiana Pacers are rebuilding. For that reason, getting a first-round pick for Turner is inherently a good decision.

Furthermore, the Pacers just recommitted to the 22-year-old Jalen Smith. He’s slated to start at the power forward position, but he’ll need reps at center as well.
