To their credit, the Rockets didn’t think so. They added Chris Paul and went to war with the Warriors on a yearly basis. If not for Chris Paul’s hamstring injury in 2017-18, they may have emerged victorious.

Of course, NBA history is riddled with could have been’s and should have been’s. The Rockets never did vanquish the Warriors. Flash forward to 2022, and the Rockets are in the early stages of a rebuild.
