1. Luka Doncic
This is a name that may surprise some people, but Luka Doncic is someone to keep an eye on as a potential trade candidate. The Dallas Mavericks are certainly not going to move him, but there is a chance that he requests a trade at some point.
A max rookie extension was agreed to last offseason, so a request may not come soon from Luka Doncic, but if they don’t build off of the success they had last season, his patience could run thin. It was reported that the Mavericks would push to acquire another star to pair with him, but that has been a fruitless endeavor.
Luka Doncic has been quoted that he is hoping the Dallas Mavericks make more moves this offseason to get the team closer to contending. They have lost two of his better friends from the team, as Boban Marjanovic was traded to the Houston Rockets and Jalen Brunson signed with the New York Knicks.
Not signing Goran Dragic is something that he wasn’t thrilled about either, as he has been pining to have his countryman in Dallas for about a year.
