The Atlanta Hawks came into the 2022 offseason knowing they had to shake things up. After making a surprise run to the Eastern Conference Finals in the 2021 NBA Postseason, they opted to run it back with the same roster for the 2021-22 season. That proved to be the wrong choice, as Atlanta took a major step back.

They finished in ninth place, needing to defeat the Charlotte Hornets and Cleveland Cavaliers in the NBA Play-In Tournament to make the playoffs. They were defeated easily by the No. 1 seeded Miami Heat in five games, getting their offseason started much earlier than they had hoped.

Travis Schlenk was going to learn from last offseason and knew changes had to occur. The Hawks made some major ones, as they pulled off two trades.

The first was a blockbuster, as they landed All-Star point guard Dejounte Murray from the San Antonio Spurs in exchange for three unprotected first-round picks, a pick swap and Danilo Gallinari.

The other trade they completed was with the Sacramento Kings. Kevin Huerter was sent out west in exchange for Justin Holiday, Maurice Harkless and a top-14 protected future first-round pick.

Atlanta will certainly look a little different this upcoming season, but there could be more moves on the horizon still. Another player that has been mentioned as a potential trade candidate is John Collins.

Collins has seemingly been available for well over a year, as rumors were going back to before he signed his new contract that he could be traded. He signed a five-year, $125 million deal as a restricted free agent, but it would surprise a lot of people if he spent the duration of it in Atlanta.

Where could he end up going? Here are three teams who should still pursue a trade for Collins this offseason.
