Some teams will have patience for Matisse Thybulle’s three-point shot to come around. On the other hand, the Philadelphia 76ers have probably run out.

After all, James Harden is not getting any younger at 33. For that matter, Joel Embiid’s injury history makes him an older 28. The 76ers’ championship window is open now, but they don’t know how long that will be the case.

The Sixers need to capitalize. Acquiring Reggie Bullock allows them to do so. He may not be an elite player, but he’s a much more dependable option than any of the players they’re sending out here, including Thybulle.

Following this deal, the Sixers will have an incredibly solid wing rotation, having added P.J. Tucker and Danuel House Jr. already this summer. Some will say that, because of those acquisitions, Bullock is redundant.
