Philadelphia 76ers Receive: G/F Reggie Bullock

If Matisse Thybulle needed an example of how (relatively) unskilled wings can survive in the league, he could look to Reggie Bullock.

We don’t mean to be insulting. Bullock has enjoyed a nice career. Regardless, it’s fair to say that he doesn’t have the deepest bag in the NBA. His longevity in the league provides further evidence of the importance of a 3-and-D skillset.

Bullock isn’t even necessarily elite in either category, although he has approached that status in terms of three-point shooting at times in his career. Still, he’s mostly survived in this league on the strength of passable shooting, and passable defense.

Meanwhile, Thybulle is already a better defender than Bullock ever was. In all likelihood, he doesn’t need an example.

Surely, he knows that knocking threes down more regularly would improve, and extend his career. If he starts doing so in Dallas, how hard will the Philadelphia 76ers have to kick themselves?
