Why The Brooklyn Nets Do The Deal
Getting younger is only a concern for certain teams in this league. The Brooklyn Nets are not one of them.
That’s largely because, as it currently stands, they roster Kevin Durant. At 34, he isn’t getting any better – or younger.
Of course, we know Durant issued a trade request this summer. Meanwhile, trading his close friend may not be an ideal way to pacify him. With that said, if they’re getting Chris Paul in the exchange, the conversation may change.
As mentioned, Durant wants to play with Paul. We know the Phoenix Suns are at the top of his list. With that said, could Paul, Ben Simmons, Nic Claxton, Seth Curry, TJ Warren, and others be a better supporting cast than he’d be left with in Phoenix?
