The noise of a possible blockbuster deal that would send two-time NBA Finals MVP Kevin Durant back to the Golden State Warriors is not going away.

According to ESPN’s Brian Windhorst on the “Dan Patrick Show,” legitimate sources are calling the possibility of the Warriors trading for Kevin Durant “worth a discussion.”

It would be the best career move for Durant if he was able to end up in Golden State. If the Warriors decide to go all in for the rest of Stephen Curry’s prime, then adding Durant is a no-brainer for them.

While they showed this past season that they could win the championship without Durant. It would take some of the offensive load off of Curry, which will continue to help his longevity.

Windhorst is not the only one hearing the noise of Durant and the Warriors. Chris Broussard of Fox Sports also reported that Durant ‘doesn’t want to play with Kyrie’ and his desire is to go to the Warriors.

“A source texted me after KD’s trade request and said that KD doesn’t want to play with Kyrie, and he wants to go to Golden State.” That would certainly be huge news if true. Broussard said he was not sure if he completely believed that, but it is not an “impossibility.”

The Nets are reportedly “turned off” by the reports they have received thus far. But, the Warriors have not submitted their offer yet. They have one of the best packages to offer in the NBA if they decide to go all-in for Durant.

Some of the names could include Andrew Wiggins, Jonathan Kuminga, Moses Moody, and James Wiseman. Any combination of those players and picks would be the best offer the Nets will receive.

The Warriors’ current stars have been quiet when asked about a possible Durant reacquisition. Windhorst said, “Curry’s been asked about it, and Curry gave a nonanswer. But he didn’t shut it down. He didn’t say ‘hell no.’ Curry is all about winning.

So if the Golden State Warriors can make a move for one of the league’s best players, it would be hard to say no to that.
