In theory, Reddish is a 3-and-D wing who provides secondary shot creation. He was probably never going to lead the NBA in scoring, but he does have the natural talent to be the type of player who makes All-Star appearances based on their two-way impact.

Meanwhile, the 76ers are light on two-way players behind their star trio of Joel Embiid, James Harden, and Tyrese Maxey. Swapping Thybulle for Reddish alleviates that.

After all, Reddish may not have approached his potential in the NBA yet, but he’s certainly a more impactful offensive player than Thybulle. If nothing else, the Sixers can count on Reddish to shoot a higher percentage from three-point range.
