Indiana Pacers Receive: F/C John Collins
Atlanta Hawks Receive: C Myles Turner, G T.J. McConnell
Like the last deal, this proposal finds more than one player switching teams who may be long overdue.
Myles Turner and John Collins have each spent a lot of time in the rumor mill. It must be getting tiring for both of them as well as their organizations. This deal has the Pacers and Hawks coming to a solution together.
Granted, this trade creates new problems for each squad. The Pacers just re-signed Jalen Smith to a new contract. Furthermore, Isaiah Jackson had a promising rookie season. Their frontcourt looks crowded both before and after this trade.
Meanwhile, the Hawks roster Clint Capela and Onyeka Onkongwu. The former would almost certainly be dissatisfied with backing up Turner, while the latter is a much younger player with upside that’s worth probing.

Those are problems to sort out later. Turner is a good acquisition for the Hawks because he offsets the spacing concerns that come with the newly acquired Dejounte Murray. Meanwhile, Collins is simply too young and too good for the rebuilding Pacers to pass on.
