In the NBA, talent comes before anything else. With that said, opportunity counts for a lot too.
We’ve seen countless players in the history of this league whose talent was wasted. Most of them didn’t get the opportunities they deserved. A bad fit with a team can be a death sentence for an NBA player.
That is, of course, unless they find a better home.
Unfortunately, it hasn’t worked out that way for Cam Reddish so far. He struggled to find his footing on the Atlanta Hawks and found himself traded to the New York Knicks at last year’s trade deadline.

Things have gone even more poorly since. Reddish didn’t seem to curry any favor with the Knicks. In fact, he found himself nearly out of their rotation by the season’s end.
