The relationship between an NBA team and a player is a relationship like any other. Both sides need to be happy in order for the relationship to be healthy.
Unfortunately, that isn’t always the case. Sometimes, a player is rewarded with a hefty contract only to stop living up to it. Other times, the player becomes dissatisfied with the cast of teammates his organization puts around him.
