Yes, Harris is a good player. In fact, he’s arguably the best player being swapped in this deal. Still, nobody could argue that he impacts winning more than Bogdanovic and Clarkson combined.
This deal assumes the Jazz are rebuilding. In that event, the Sixers’ 2029 first-rounder is an infinitely valuable asset for this organization.
Fans will inevitably complain that the pick conveys too far into the future. Those complaints are short-sighted. Given James Harden’s age and Joel Embiid’s injury history, who knows where the Sixers will be in 2029?
