3 Intriguing Landing Spots For Russell Westbrook If Bought Out

Russell Westbrook, Los Angeles Lakers, NBA Rumors
NBA Analysis Network

The Los Angeles Lakers are trying their hardest to unload Russell Westbrook in a trade. It is something they have been attempting for a few months now, as rumors involving Westbrook as a trade candidate have been occurring since the NBA regular season.

Los Angeles had high hopes when they added Westbrook to their duo of LeBron James and Anthony Davis, but things didn’t turn out as they had hoped. The team struggled on the court, as the Lakers went 33-49, falling woefully short of their championship aspirations.

Trading Westbrook will help get the team back on track. His skill set isn’t one that meshes well with the other superstars on the roster and a clean slate could be best for both sides. Trading him is easier said than done, but certainly not impossible.

With the Lakers being connected to Kyrie Irving, Westbrook could eventually be on the move. If the Brooklyn Nets don’t have any interest in acquiring him, the San Antonio Spurs have been rumored as a third team to help facilitate a deal.
