It’s pretty rare that an NBA team has a run as successful as the one the Phoenix Suns have enjoyed over the last two seasons. It’s even rarer for that team to fall apart.
Seriously, think about it. The Suns advanced all the way to the NBA Finals in 2020-21. They won 64 games in 2021-22.
Granted, they’d hoped to advance further than the Western Conference Semifinals this year.
Regardless, there are fanbases across the NBA who wish they’d gotten that close to contention over the last decade. This is a great basketball team. From all appearances, that’s not assured to remain the case.
