Sign Montrezl Harrell
Unfortunately, Montrezl Harrell’s NBA future may be facing some uncertainty. As it stands, he’s facing a felony drug charge entering into 2022-23.
The Heat should sign him anyway.
We’re not here to judge Harrell for the possession of (a lot of) marijuana. Let’s table that issue. If we assume that Harrell will be available for most of the 2022-23 season, he’d be a solid fit with this squad.
Granted, his fit with Bam Adebayo is questionable. On the other hand, Harrell makes for a perfect backup for the star big man. With his addition, the Heat will have a physical, mobile big man on the floor for 48 minutes a night. Furthermore, they should be able to weather shared minutes between the two in short bursts.

Harrell makes up some of the overall intensity the Heat will be losing with P.J. Tucker’s departure. With that said, unfortunately, he does not make up for Tucker’s floor spacing. That brings us to our next off-season move for the Heat to consider.
