Nikola Jokic has gone from being a second-round pick to earning two MVPs and has now reached an agreement with the Denver Nuggets on the largest contract in NBA history.
A league source has confirmed to NBA Analysis Network that Jokic’s contract extension with the Nuggets is a five-year, $264 million supermax extension.
During the 2021-22 season, Nikola Jokic appeared in 74 games and averaged 27.1 points, 13.8 rebounds, and 7.9 assists. He managed to secure his second consecutive MVP award in the process.
With Jamal Murray and Michael Porter Jr. set to return to the Nuggets’ lineup, he should have more assistance to lead his Nuggets team to a deep playoff run.
