The Toronto Raptors qualified for the 2022 NBA Postseason with a unique game plan that Nick Nurse drew up. The team was lacking a go-to option at the center position, so he installed a hectic, switching heavy defense to try and get teams out of rhythm.
Unfortunately for the Raptors, they ran into the Philadelphia 76ers, who have Joel Embiid as their starting center. He was unstoppable, helping lead the 76ers to a dominant performance on the interior as Toronto just didn’t have an answer to the size difference.
That is why someone such as Jarrett Allen could appeal to them. He is the least likely of the players on this list to be traded, but a swap of OG Anunoby for Allen could really help both teams involved.
The Cleveland Cavaliers need some help on the wing as Isaac Okoro gives the team virtually nothing on the offensive side of the ball. Anunoby would be an upgrade in that regard, as he is also an excellent defender. Evan Mobley could slide over to the five full-time in the event of Jarrett Allen’s departure.
As for the Raptors, their issues in the middle would be solved. Jarrett Allen is one of the best young big men in the league and he provides the team with some much-needed size at the center spot. Pascal Siakam and Scottie Barnes would fill the forward spots with Fred VanVleet and Gary Trent Jr. in the backcourt.

While Jarrett Allen may not have the star ceiling that Anunoby does, he has one All-Star nomination on his resume and he helps the Raptors balance their lineup. Nurse could still play small in some situations, but knowing he has a legitimate center to turn to would help immensely.
