The 2022 NBA offseason is one in which we could see a ton of player movement via trades. With such a limited number of teams projected to have cap space this offseason, making trades is the only way a number of them are going to be able to upgrade their roster.
There have been a few big-named players on the trade block already, as the Utah Jazz duo of Donovan Mitchell and Rudy Gobert have been on the rumor mill.
Potential free agents Zach LaVine of the Chicago Bulls and Bradley Beal of the Washington Wizards have also been mentioned. John Collins of the Atlanta Hawks and Myles Turner of the Indiana Pacers are two more names to keep an eye on.
One player that will surprise some people when it comes to being on the trade block is Dejounte Murray of the San Antonio Spurs. Murray is coming off of the best season in his career, putting up career-highs in points, rebounds, assists, steals and minutes played. He also tied his career-high in minutes per game.

That performance earned him his first All-Star nomination, as he cemented himself as the Spurs’ best player. But, teams do not like being stuck in the middle of the league, as the Spurs currently are.
As a result, they have tossed around the idea of trading Murray. But, the asking price is high, as San Antonio is seeking a ton of draft capital. It will take a minimum of three first-round picks and at least two more pick swaps to get the Spurs’ attention, or a combination of picks and a young desirable player.
Which teams could meet that asking price and have a need at the point guard position? We know two of them are the Atlanta Hawks and Minnesota Timberwolves, but here are three more teams that must pursue a trade for Murray this offseason.
