Good Landing Spot: Portland Trail Blazers
The Portland Trail Blazers are a good landing spot for Harrison Barnes if we make a couple of assumptions.
First, we’re assuming that the Blazers hang onto Damian Lillard, and intend on competing for the playoffs in 2022-23. If this team does launch a rebuild, there would be little point in acquiring Barnes.
On the other hand, if they’re gearing up for the deepest postseason run they can make, he’d be a perfect addition. With that said, he wouldn’t be enough to singularly move the needle for this Blazers squad.
That brings us to our second assumption: Barnes would be one of several win-now moves this organization made this summer. He’s not good enough to be Lillard’s second banana, but if he’s a third or fourth option, who knows?
