Is there a point where a team has acquired too much draft capital?

If so, Thunder General Manager Sam Presti is sure to reach it. He’s already acquired the most future picks any one team has held in NBA history. This trade only sweetens that pot considerably.

Some might argue that it makes it too sweet. After all, if the Thunder held all the picks they’ve got coming in, they’d run out of roster spots. With that said, having so much draft capital gives them flexibility. It allows them to package picks in order to trade up, down, or out of any given draft.

With that said, the Blazers could be unwilling to part with so much draft capital. Furthermore, given SGA’s age, are we certain they wouldn’t be looking to rebuild around him?
