The Golden State Warriors defeated the Boston Celtics in six games in the 2022 NBA Finals, which means all of the teams in the league have officially turned their attention to the offseason. The 2022 NBA Draft this week will give teams their first chance at upgrading and adding some talent to the mix.

There have already been a ton of rumors swirling about what teams could do. With cap space projected to be sparse, as only a few teams will have money to spend in free agency, trades will be the best avenue a lot of teams can take to make changes to the roster.

We have already seen a few trades go down, as the Denver Nuggets and Oklahoma City Thunder swapped draft picks, with JaMychal Green heading to the Thunder. The Dallas Mavericks filled their void at the center spot, acquiring Christian Wood from the Houston Rockets for the No. 26 overall pick, Boban Marjanovic, Trey Burke, Sterling Brown, and Marqeuse Chriss.

One of the most sought-after players on the market, Jerami Grant of the Detroit Pistons, was also traded. He ended up with the Portland Trail Blazers, which was predicted by a lot of people, but not for the 7th overall pick. Instead, it was a 2025 first-rounder via the Milwaukee Bucks.
